Don't be fooled by its bold, boxy exterior; the Santa Fe still prioritizes family-friendly utility and comfort above all else. There's no denying that the current Santa Fe's three-row, seven-passenger capacity, ample cargo area, and wide tailgate opening help it zero in on its intended family demographic. A turbocharged 277-hp 2.5-liter inline-four with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is tasked with moving the Santa Fe's formidable mass. The interior features modern design and tech, blending functionality and clever details, and the ride is tuned to prioritize comfort. During our carry-on suitcase testing, we fit five cases behind the third row, 16 cases with the third row stowed, and 34 cases with the third and second rows folded. Covering more than half the dashboard are two 12.3-inch displays, one serving as a gauge cluster and one as a touchscreen for infotainment.
